When using NFS as a Repository it appears that the software uses only UDP (seen in packet trace when negotiating with the NFS server). Is there a way to change it to use TCP?

Hi Rob,
Are you referring to DCO or DCE? I can say that for DCE, there is no way to change the configuration or how we communicate with NFS.

Yes, That would be for Data Center Expert. Is it possible to create a nfs mount in the OS (using TCP) and then use that mount point as a repository? Or are repositories only Cifs NFS (not fs).
thanks.

Hi Rob,
I spoke with engineering and this is actually an option they are planning for the next version 7 release. This should be out by the end of the year but don't quote me on the timeframe, that's only an estimate.

Steven; Would you know if there would be a future option for using Amazon S3 as repository?

Hi Rob,
I checked here:
https://aws.amazon.com/storagegateway/
It looks like it can use either cifs or nfs. I don't know that we will be testing specifically against the Amazon S3 and I have heard nothing about this specifically but I'm assuming it should work as other operating system trying to use it do. If you can connect with a Windows or Linux system without specific software required on the OS, we should work similarly.
