NBWC100U Firmware Update

Following NetBotz 4.5.4 update the coordinator and end devices showed Firmware status of "pending transfer". Currently the coordinator has Firmware status of "ready to apply" while all end devices still show "pending transfer".  Question, why is the Apply Firmware Update tab highlighted when there are still end devices pending transfer. Does the coordinator need to be updated before the end devices. Can the warning message be ignored regarding other wireless nodes still pending firmware transfer and recommendation to wait until all nodes are ready to be upgraded.  (see below)

Hi Barry,

They're all pending except the coordinator. You would probably not want to update the coordinator while the end devices are still pending. I'm assuming this may be why that option is not grayed out. If you've been waiting for an unreasonable time for those sensors to update and they have not, you may want to contact your local tech support for troubleshooting.

Hi Steve,

Appears the Firmware status has changed for end devices from "pending transfer" to "ready to apply" but the coordinator changed from "ready to apply" to "pending transfer".  Do I wait for the coordinator status to change again or is it ok to apply the firmware update.

Hi Barry,

I see no issue in selecting the end devices and choosing to apply firmware update. When they're done, apply the one to the coordinator.

Hi Steve, coordinator and end devices have status of "ready to apply" but the apply firmware update tab is grayed out.

Barry,

Did you actually select one or more of the devices or did you just open the window?

Hi Steve, I had opened the window a couple of hours ago. I just opened the window again and the apply firmware update tab is highlighted. Possibly the NetBotz was going through a final verify of firmware status.

Hi Barry,

The Apply Firmware Update button is activated once the status of one sensor on the list changes to Ready to Apply. The message to wait until all sensors are ready follows if you click the button too soon. It is best not to ignore the message, and wait until all the sensors are ready.

Were your all wireless sensors updated successfully?

Best regards,

Jackie
