Dear Team,
I have a customer who has two distribution boards each connected to independent UPS, the DB gets power from UPS and feed various Racks in the Data Centre.
How can I model this in StruxureWare Data Centre Operations instead of using PDUs which are not present.
See below image for further clarification.
The Bottom two cables are three phase cabling from the independent UPS and the top is cabling to the racks.
Regards,
Felix.

In DCO they are called Power Panels which will snap to the wall, but you cannot hang them on the wall, that is, in the 3D view it will look like they are standing on the floor.
I would recommend that you in the genomes make a copy of the "Generic Power Panel" and then modify the properties of that copy to match the DBs. e.g. you would at least want to modify the following:
- Model Name, Part number - thus the costumer can identify the model in the equipment browser.
- Physical to match the actual dimensions
- Power - get rid of the unnecessary output voltages
- Power, breaker panel, make the layout more like the layout of a DB
Now you drag the new custom "DB" genome onto the floor wherever you need one, and if the costumer has more than one type of DBs you should (obviously) make another genome to match.
One final thing; DCO insists on the UPS only havving one down stream connection, so if each UPS is powering more than one DB you still need a separate item to model the UPS power distribution, but if the costumer dislike the PDU you can create a custom DB for that as well 😀
Kind Regards
Gert
