Hello.
We are using DCE 7.4.3 & we connect to many modbus devices mainly Power Meters in our Switchboards. We have a particular Schneider PM850 Power Meter & its comms drops to DCE for up to 2 hours regularly. I can however open its webpage within DCE & I can ping the device from DCE. I have tried many device scans but the device will not return to be viewable to DCE. Usually a few hours later it becomes visible again. I have compared it to another PM850 power meter residing within the same floor & connected to the same switch & I cant see any differences in any internal settings.
Any ideas?

Dear Jeff Harrold
Have you solved your issue or not?
I have tried many device scans but the device will not return to be viewable to DCE.
You mean, that the Modbus device loses connection (comm lost alert) with the DCE-server?
With respect.

Yes that is correct. ISX loses connectivity to a particular modbus device for a period of time, usually up to 2 hours & then it returns. There seems to be no manual intervention causing the issue & it always returns to service. It is not always the same device either.

Dear Jeff Harrold,
Ok, I understand you. And how are your power meters connected to DCE-server? If through separate TCP/IP Modbus gateways, is it possible to look, for example, connection statistics (number of transmitted/received packets, number of CRC errors, number of timeouts, etc.)? That is, as it can be seen through the web-GUI TCP/IP Modbus gateway Ethernet Gateway Link150 (new gateway) or ConneXium Ethernet Gateway TSXETG100 (old gateway).
With respect.

Sorry for the delay.
We have a major switchboard power switch that is being replaced so I am waiting for that to happen, in the hope it may be causing our comms issues.
When that happens, i'll get back to you
