Dear Lal,
I agree with Chris. As far as I know, the modbus protocol itself does not support authentication feature as the way SNMP has.
Therefore, authentication is not available in DCE for modbus device communication.

Not that i'm aware of.
Also,modbus as a protocol itself does not suppport authentication.
Back to DCE,it only reads device sensor data via modbus tcp,no write /control.
