How to add users via LDAP? LDAP credentials have been entered and I am able to browse to users I want to add. Once desired users are selected and clicking finish none of the users show up in DCE. Is there a step I'm missing to add users through LDAP?

Hi James,
First, I want to provide you with a little info on adding LDAP / active directory users.
http://www.apc.com/us/en/faqs/FA366078
Make sure that if you are configuring the active directory or LDAP settings that you use the correct one. I have seen instances where you might choose LDAP and go part way through then try to reconfigure it as active directory and it seems to take the change but doesn't really work. You still seem to be able to add the users, it simply won't allow the login. If they're not showing up at all, this may be part of the issue.
Also please note that after you've added the users, you need to grant them permissions in DCE. DCE does not take permissions from your LDAP or active directory server, it simply verifies login credentials through those systems.
If you've added groups, you will only see those groups in DCE, you won't see the specific users. You also still need to provide those groups with local DCE permissions.
Again, check out the doc at the beginning as it has a lot of helpful tips.
Steve.
