Hi all,
I failed to configure an airflow from ceiling in IT Advisor ver 9.2.1 with NetworkAIR FM DX Air Cooled 208-230V / 60Hz, Upflow FR and Perforated Ceiling Tile.
It was found that the air is exhausted from the ceiling tile instead of supplying from the tiles.
May I know is it possible to configure an airflow from ceiling in IT Advisor?
Thanks.
Best regards,
Janet

Hello Janet
So I'm clear before re-testing, this is an upflow cooling unit so the cool air is flowing through the ceiling and down through the ceiling tiles to the equipment? Warm air being drawn down through the floor tiles?

Hi Greg,
You are correct. Cool air is flowing through the ceiling and down through the ceiling tiles to the equipment in the room, while Warm air is drawn down through the floor tiles.
Moreover, I am sorry that I accidentally clicked the wrong button when replying you message, which makes your messages as the answer.
Regards,
Janet

There is an open feature request from a customer requesting this capability as the current cooling tool in ITA does not support upflow entirely.
I'm able to use vertical grills in DCO or ITA placing one on a wall in the ceiling bringing air into the room ceiling and a vertical grill below the floor pushing air out of the room. This scenario forces airflow in the cooling tool to come down through the ceiling tiles and through the floor tiles as you'll see the CFM's become negative on both.
But then the cooling capacity tool has sime "difficulties" handling upflow so the values you see will not accurately reflect the truth.
If I may ask which customer do you represent, so I can add you to the feature request.

Hi Greg,
I experienced this problem when I building the existing site model in ITA for HKIA demonstration.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Janet
