Hi Team,
I face the issue in setting up the DCO Software on IBM Bladecenter H (Physical Server); At the moment they do not have Virtual Machines to provide.
IBM BLADE CENTER H
SERVER = HS 22
8 Core / 2.8 Ghz
32GB RAM
Initially i tried with the USB Boot but with out success..showing Error File Immediately after reading ( Tried using different USB's for verification but all same result )
I decided to burn a copy on a DVD, it works and able to set up till the Network Configuration but after saving and continuing with the process, then a fatal error pop up.
It is my first time in setting up a physical server using IBM Bladeserver, Do we have compatibility issue between the software and hardware?
Please recommend Hardware Details / Configuration on which DCO will work perfectly so that i can advise our client.
Thanks,
Chris

Hi,
I am not aware of any specific issues with that hardware.
Our installation is based on a Centos 7.2 OS installation media so if it is possible do a install of a standard Centos 7.2 installation media we can rule out a lot of hardware setup issues.
Is there any way to force a legacy boot process in the BIOS setup on the machine?
A few internet posts indicate that the package IS missing and it may be fix in a later version of Centos. There is a Centos 7.3 out now.
If it is possible to install a Centos 7.3 on the hardware. A custom installation of DCO on top of the default Centos 7.3 could be a solution.

Hi Thorkild,
Thanks for the Feedback.
We are actually on process of POC on site and to be honest we have limitations as we are not expert on their Hardware/Servers as we normally install previous DCO versions on a Virtual environment without issues.
On your recommendation to have the standard installation of Centos 7.2 OS, we need to check this with the IT Personnel on site if they have software and if we will get the full support from them to assist us in resolving the issues. Do you have link where we can download this OS?
Do you mean force Legacy boot? --> if we are able to select the USB or Optical Drive, if this is what you mean then YES i have done modification on the BIOS to boot at USB or Optical drive.
Just for additional info, i have tried also installing DCO ver 7.3.5 but without success - not even reading or doing installation.
If i use the USB boot(using RUFUS as per DCO Procedure), below is the message.

Additional Info:
We Tried using HS21 ( as per the IT, the bios version for this one is not latest, then tried again the setup ( Optical Drive, it is not responding during installation)

Hello Jef Faridi,
I was wondering if this question was ever addressed. Based on the comments it appears that a resolution is missing. I have an FSE that is having the same exact errors
Thank You

Hi Victor,
As Thorkild mentioned, an option could be to install the CentOS on the hardware, and then a custom installation of DCO (as application) on top of the default CentOS. Or perhaps try a similar installation that has been shared by another user here: .
hope this helps,
Kind regards
