Hello everyone,
I have an old rack mounted Netbotz 420 (NBRK0420) that I was considering using for a mobile rack. I called APC and they no longer provide software support for this model, I tried getting it online but I wasn't able to access it via a console cable (it looks like that's the only input).
Is it possible to get it working or should I toss it?
Regards

Hi @Anonymous user
If you can’t get to the device serially, you can’t reset it or configure its IP unless you already know it or if you’re lucky enough to have it set to DHCP.
Assuming it physically turns on, it really should have a serial output f it actually works. If you don’t see a serial output, make sure you are using a true Null Modem cable and not just a pass through cable. Make sure you’re using the right serial settings and if you know you’re set up correctly, try another cable or computer.
If you can’t get to it serially or by IP, I’m sorry but there’s little left to do with it.
