Installing Antivirus tool in Linux Server (IT Advisor)
Hi,
One of our client wants to install Antivirus tool in Linux Virtual Server (IT Advisor Server 9.1.9). The tool is Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 5.1 Light Agent for Linux. Can you please advise the following:
1- Are customers allowed to install and run Antivirus tool on IT Advisor Server?
2- If customers are allowed then what all points to be taken care of?
Please confirm so we can advise our client to go ahead with the Antivirus agent installation.

Hello Shemil
As a general practice we allow customers to install antivirus or similar security tools on IT Advisor servers as long as those tools do not interfere with the operation of the software. There is a very brief comment of this nature on this help center page. https://helpcenter.ecostruxureit.com/hc/en-us/articles/360012046097-ITA-security
For example, we have known some customers who have installed anti virus tools on their DCO or ITA server and experienced performance problems. It may be necessary to exclude some folders like the postgres database folders as you wouldn't want an antivirus tool to interfer with the performance of the server or other unexpected results.
