I ran the /inventory endpoint, and I would get lots of objects, but it's basically:
- Organization
- Location
- Devices
Within the devices, I noticed that there are sensors inside them too. For example, there are object with type "Plug" which I think is not a device. How do I get only objects that are devices or sensors?
I also noticed that there is a "type" field. What is all the available "type"?

HI!
I'm not very familiar with ITE API, but in my understanding, all parts of device (as well as sensors) are threated as "Device" in /inventory endpoint.
Type "Plug" belongs to rPDU's outlet and I believe it will corresponds to current measurements.
If you need to get only devices (like UPS or PDU) you need to take entries which are not contains "parentId" attribute from the results.
Entries with "parentId" will be sensors.
In our demo I've found following "types":
"Contact"
"Door"
"EMS Outlet"
"EMS"
"Gateway"
"Group"
"Network Management Card"
"Outlet Group"
"Plug"
"Pod"
"Probe"
"Rack PDU"
"Relay"
"Room"
"Site"
"UPS"

Hello Valentin,
I'd normally start a question like this by pointing you at the documentation you probably already checked from the helpcenter (https://helpcenter.ecostruxureit.com/hc/en-us/articles/360004670357-Understanding-the-EcoStruxure-IT...) which would direct you to this box folder link on the help center page which contains more api details and examples (https://schneider-electric.app.box.com/s/4b2rzzci2gin07dceqfp6okgsaxla9gc)
But your post also shows you have been trying it. So I have forwarded your question to the cloud team to get a more direct response to your inquiry. I'll share the results if they respond to me or one of them may respond more directly to you.
Regards
Greg Sterling
