Greetings all,
We have an 80KV rack array with an APC 1U server running InfraStruXure Central 6.0.2.21. If a warning event takes place, the console sends thousands of emails to us.
Is there an upgrade path in software we should take to resolve this condition?
Thank you
B

Hi Brian,
InfraStruxure Central 6.x is quite old and no longer supported. Rather than upgrade, you may be better off restoring the server to the current version and re-adding the devices. You have to have current support contracts for either the upgrade procedure or to get just the current links.
The reason I suggest restoring to 7.7.1 directly is you would need to upgrade to each of the following versions:
I also suggest backing up the system before you start and after every few upgrades.. This will take quite some time.
As for the specific issue you've noted, I have seen issues with StruxureWare / InfraStruxure software where if the server is up for over a year, the issue you describe can happen. While considering the update / restore options, you may want to simply reboot the server.

Thanks,

P.S., You may also want to be sure of your alarm configuration to be sure it's not set up to send an e-mail every minute.

Appreciate the fast reply Steve,
Based on what you said it may be better for us to wipe + restore the appliance directly to 7.71 and re-add what we need. This array has been stagnant for quite some time.
We have a valid support contract, customer ID, and serial # for the array, how can I best go about getting support for this? A download link for the image, or assistance re-adding the devices.
Thank you,
Brian
