ITO 7.5.6 download

Yes, please note this comment I had posted above if you want to install ITO 7.5.2 on windows 2016. 

use a windows command terminal to launch the ITO installer and specify the "--check_os_supported no" command line option (note there are two dashes in front of the argument).

Thanks Greg. installing 7.5.2 on Windows Server 2016 doesn't work... Heard 7.5.6 would work per the installation guide.

Correct.

On the short term you should be able to install ITO 7.5.2 on windows 2016 if you use a windows command terminal to launch the ITO installer and specify the "--check_os_supported no" command line option (note there are two dashes in front of the argument).

I'm surprised: for the third year I have been successfully using ITO 7.5.2 under MS Windows Server 2016 Core. I did not notice any problems during installation or configuration.

Why doesn't it work for you? What were your difficulties or mistakes?

I got an error when running 7.5.2 it got a pop-up which says "The Schneider Electric IT Optimize installer is not supported on this operating system. Please consult the product documentation for supported operating systems."

 

I am trying to install this on Windows Server 2016 Standard with no luck!

Greg,

The command doesn't work. Or maybe it does. I get this alert now:

 

Problem running post-install step. Installation may not complete correctly. Error running C:\Program Files\SchneiderElectric\ITOptimize\java\bin\keytool.exe -genkeypair - alias dcos -keyalg RSA -keystore C:\Program Files\SchneiderElectric\ITOptimize\conf\keystore\dcos.keystore

... it goes on.

 

Any ideas? Or when the new file is posted, I can just download the one compatible with Server 2016.

Which version of ITO did you try to install? Was this 7.5.2?

Did you try installing with all of the default options or did you try to customize the installation directory?

7.5.2 is not officially supported on 2016 although I wouldn't have expected you'd see that message.

David Colocho is right: it is impossible to extract file StruxureWareItOptimize-setup.windows.x64.exe from archive StruxureWareItOptimizeWithServerAccess-setup-7.5.6.windows.x64.zip (MD5: A8859AA7B7AB82A33CC8A0340D73F7C0).

Please check and correct this annoying error.

I added to the comment which was also posted online. I was able to download the zip file from the download site, extract the contents with the built-in windows extract tool as well as 7-zip and I was able to install the contents.

The ITO zip which was posted earlier in January was corrupted and replaced a few weeks ago. Can you retry the download?
