I want to install the ITA offline demo, but I don't know why I can't enter the demo page when I run it.
This is the ITA offline demo v9.1.4
And this is the ITA offline demo v9.0.6
Can someone help me solve this problem?
Thanks for your kindly help!
Best regards,
Stephen

Hi Stephen,
Issue seems to be related to network adapter/driver. According to your screenshot there is no IP address assigned to your 9.1.4 installation. If the installation is on vm environment, then you might want to turn off the host (ITA 9.1.4) and then edit/check the settings for 'Network adapter' - look for the Adapter Type and see what options you can choose. In my test environment it works fine using the 'VMXNET 3' adapter.
By the way, just to avoid any confusion, I think this may be the usual ITA on-premise installation, since there is no 'ITA offline demo' have ever been developed.
Kind regards,
Jef

Hi Jef,
Thanks for your reply and your reminder!
By the way, I have tried all the network adaptors in the VM, but there is still no IP address. Do you know what's happening?
Here is my setting:
P.S. I'm currently using CentOS 8.
Thanks for your help again!
Best regards,
Stephen

Hi,
Have you tried to change the Network Adapter type to NAT? I see you are using VMware to run the ITA machine. It should get an IP from the network.
Or if you know the IP address range of the Network Adapter you are using, u can set the IP address manually from the console.

Just for reference.

Hi Stephen,
It seems you are using VMware Workstation player, so in this case I would suggest:
try 'Bridged' or 'Host-only' option for the Network Adapter settings.
Furthermore, it appears you've defined 1 Processor for your virtual host (ITA), with this setup you may be able to start the OS but not the ITA application. Increase the number of the Processors to 2 for this test setup.
For a real/operational setup please see the system requirements described here:

Hi Jef & TJ,
I changed the setting to 2-cores, or even 4 cores processor, and using 'Host-only' or 'Bridged' network adapter, but the problem is still not fixed.
I also tried to reinstall it, it doesn't help at all. Any suggestion what I can do?
Thanks for your help!
Best regards,
Stephen

Hi Stephen,
It seems to be related to your VMware workstation player, so you might want to try with:
Updated VMware
During the initial host (ITA) setup, if vmware offers you to get/install 'vm tools', then accept it and let it be installed (you must have access to internet). And then continue to install the ITA.
Kind regards,
Jef

Hi Jef,
I have updated the VMware Firmware to 15.5.7, which is the latest version, but the problem is still appeared.
Do you think this problem happened is because there are some issues on the setting of my computer?
Best regards,
Stephen

Hi Raymond,
I tried to use 'Bridged', 'Host-only' and 'NAT', but the problem is not fixed! And for the IP setting, as I installed the ITA 9.1.4 through the Offline Installer, I don't know what the IP range is set.
Best regards,
Stephen

Hi Stephen,
1st I would suggest you remove the download link in your comment. It is unwise to share the download link in public.
2nd, you may check the setting of the Virtual Network Editor in your VMware Workstation with the following guide and check the network you choose (NAT or Host-only) has DHCP enabled:
https://www.sysnettechsolutions.com/en/vmware-workstation-virtual-network-editor/
3rd, in your ITA console, key in the command "nmcli -f ipv4.method con show ens33" where ens33 is your network adaptor. For DHCP settings, the ipv4 method should show auto.
(please make sure the user have sufficient rights to execute the command).
Hope this helps.

TJ
