How do I disable http in IT Optimize? and use a secure port instead of 8090.
The "security" section in the documentation didn't provide much help to me.

Dear John Smith,
Hopefully Jef Faridi answer from topic will help you:
By default, https is on port 8443.
If you need to disable http, then edit the "server.xml" file and un-comment (use "") the connection via HTTP / port 8080.
And for the https configuration, see the following guide:http://liferaysatish.blogspot.se/2012/06/ssl-with-liferay-tomcathttp-to-https-on.html
His answer is addressed to StruxureWare Portal, but I am sure that this answer will also apply to IT Optimize.
If you have more questions, please ask.
With respect.

Adding to the previous response. IT Optimize does not allow http:// based connections, at least not after a default installation. Only secured connections to port 8090 should be allowed. Are you able to make a http based connection to port 8090?
The download links on the download page for ITO are for ITO 7.5.2. They will be changed soon to allow download of ITO 7.5.6 which has a more secured deployment of the web server which should also restrict connections to TLSv1.2. The earlier ITO releases may have allowed older TLS based connections.

You are correct, I can not make an http connection to IT Optimize on port 8090. It must have been redirected or pulled up the https page and I didn't notice it. I am interested in the TLSv1.2 restriction in ITO 7.5.6.
It is frustrating that the DCO download link STILL shows 7.5.2 and hasn't been updated...I understand you don't control that page.

Yes, sorry about the confusion on the download link. It will be corrected soon.
If you direct email me I can share a download link for ITO 7.5.6.
