While backups are performed through the StruxureOn Gateway UI, the restore functionality happens outside of the product via a CLI tool run from a Windows command prompt.
If you browse your Gateway server and look in the Gateway install path (Default path is: C:\Program Files\StruxureOn Gateway) you will find a directory called restore. This is where the Gateway restore utilities reside.
To restore from a previously created backup:
- Open a command prompt on your Gateway server
- Navigate to the restore directory
- Execute the apolloRestore.bat script
- With no arguments passed to the script, you will get help information printed to the screen including examples on how to execute the restore process. I've attached a screen shot of the help output.
- The utility will search for backups at the location you specify and will prompt you to choose the correct backup
- After a series of confirmations, the restore process will begin.
