HI, you have to create a new virtual machine and restore the backup. There is no official procedure to upgrade the disk space on ITA from Schneider. In the new deploy I suggest to decrease the /home partition and assign more space to the /root.

Hello. If your IT Advisor server was installed using LVM (logical volume manager) for the deployment of the filesystems, then its possible to adjust the disk space somewhat dynamically depending on your situation.
If most of your disk space is assigned to a logical volume /home, then its possible with a brief outage to adjust that filesystem and move its space to other partitions like / (root).
If your disk space is just near full, and you need to add a new volume as you suggested in your posting title, then if your root (/) and other filesystems are logical volumes, then its possible to add a new VM disk to the ITA server then expand existing filesystem(s) dynamically.
Please open a ticket with the support team for further assistance.

Greg Sterling
