How to count the racks...

Hi Team,

I have a doubt on how to count the total numebr of the racks in a room.

For example... A customer of mine has got an IBM DS8000 with 3 disk expansion cabinets.

In that case I have to count 1... or 4 racks referring to the Operation and Cooling Optimize license model?

Logically the customer has got 1 machine... but fisically, the machine is 4 racks large...

Hi Roberto,

This is a common observation during deployments, especially for the Storage Clusters. In this case it's very important how the client wants to track his assets, i.e., if they want to consider it as a single cabinet or if each & every rack in the cluster to be accounted for. Usually we go with the clients' decision in these cases. This is the privilege of customization.
