I am developing a sample BIRT report using a Java Data Source. Because the operation is a little complex, it is hard to use the built-in Web Service data source from Insight. It was working fine in my Eclipse BIRT environment, and I imported it to Operation via File-Import Insight Report File. I added the java Jar file to the Operation 7.5/application/dropins folder, and when creating reports, I got errors like " Script engine error: TypeError: [JavaPackage com.apc.birt.DemoDataSource] is not a function, it is object.". This is typically an indication that the jar file was not found. How to add a jar file to the Operation classpath so that it can be used for report creation? Any insight will be appreciated. Thanks,

Hi Raymond,
I've been told that you should add the jar file to the "plugins" folder (and not into the dropins).
hope this helps,
thanks.

Thanks Jef, I tried that and it didn't work. In fact, I tried both folders with the jar file and expanded class files. They all failed with the same error on Operation R7.5. If anybody has time to reproduce it, they can download the small jar file and the report design file (use File --> Import from Operation to import it) below. I was able to run them using open source BIRT successfully without any error. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10116981/temp/CarDemoDataSource.jar https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10116981/temp/BA%20Rack%20Power%20Report.rptdesign
