I have been trying to add RSS feed to the Portal using the default portlet and each time I get the same error. What seems to be wrong?
Also what is the mechanism to download new portlets from Liferay website, I had created a Liferay login on www.liferay.com and using the same login I click on Install more applications and it doesn't display Liferay market space...
Just to state that this is something that I'm simulating on my laptop which doesn't have any firewall restrictions as such, could it be because I'm in demo mode or what? But when I'm able to customize it how is this demo mode?

Hi Vineet,
I just verified on my own setup that the RSS feed is working fine (temp site that shows the RSS feed http://10.216.80.229:8080/iframe) I only added the default RSS portlet and did no changes to it.
I would say the issue you are seeing is most likely due to the network setup on the machine that is not allowing for external internet access for the portal installation?
I verified the RSS feed in my browser which also showed a working link http://news.yahoo.com/rss/tech
In regards to the market place I'm afraid it is the same story around not having internet access from the installation. Again I verified that the market place is launching fine at my server.
i would say try to login to the server/machine running the portal and do a ping to the rss feed address above and maybe also the Liferay market place. That will indicate if DNS is working and addresses can be looked up and connected to from the Liferay server instance.
It has nothing to do with demo mode which basically is a matter of simulating data to the portlets build by Schneider Electric.
