How do I request an SNMP DDF vs. a MODBUS DDF???

Hi Blake,

There's a video on the top of the device support page that walks you through the entire procedure including the drop-down that selects the option SNMP vs DDF. Protocol (SNMP VS Modbus) only seems available after you select SxOn or DCE.

I have already requested a MODBUS DDF for a device.

How do I know if they have a SNMP DDF for the same device??  I can follow the process to request a new DDF; and use the SNMP walk tool.

However; how do I ask the support folks if they already have an SNMP DDF for the same device as opposed to a MODBUS DDF???

The Device Request portion of this site does not delineate nor make clear if the DDF being requested is for MODBUS or SNMP!!!!

Thanks Blake, I believe the initial question was unclear. So you don't want to request a new DDF, you want to be able to see what protocol is in use by the DDF when selecting "I want it too" or be able to select between the 2. I don't believe this is an option without actually contacting the DDF team or clicking "I want it too" and replying if it is the improper format. I'll speak to the DDF team to see if there's an option they can add to show what protocol the existing DDFs have.
