How do I bind DCO to my Active Directory server in DCO 8.1?
We are running DCO 8.1.
We want to bind DCO to Active Directory.
When we go to DCO Web Admin > Administration > Authentication Servers, we only see the fields Name, Host, Port, Domain. We do not see the fields Bind User DN, Password or Search Base.
We are logged in with the Struxureware local admin account.
Is there something else we're missing?

No.
In that video, at around the 1 minute mark, they describe how to fill in the required fields.
When we navigate to the same place we do not see all the fields that the user in the video is seeing.
We are missing the fields "Bind User DN", "Password" and "Search Base"
Is this a rights issue, a version issue, a bug?
We're not sure...

As a workaround you can maybe add it through the REST API. https://dcimsupport.apc.com/DCOAPIdoc
You need to use the POST method in the /authentication-servers API
You can see the relevant properties here: https://dcimsupport.apc.com/DCOAPIdoc/services/AuthenticationServerVO.html
Furthermore you might need the POST method of the /certificates API if the authentication-servers API returns an error message related to that.
There is an introduction to the REST API here: Introduction to REST API
The API documentation is also directly available on the server through the address https://
That documentation also works as a simple client.

Hi Mike,
When adding/configuring an authentication server (in DCO), (Administration > Authentication Servers > "ADD AUTHENTICATION SERVER"), under the drop-down menu for Type, we can select the type of authentication server - the following illustration is showing the options for Active directory and LDAP:
Kind regards
