Hello,
we have a new deploy of IT Advisor 9.0.4 and we do not understand the cooling capacity overview that we receive.
We have two hot aisles with 4 Inrow cooling machines of 40 kW in each aisle, 320 kW of cooling capacity.
The power consumption that we have in the data center is 28 kw with 2N configuration, 2 UPSs of 80 kW.
The power capacity overview is ok, we have 31% in the diagram, but in the cooling information we have 22%. Why do we get this value? We do not understand how it is calculated.
I attach some pictures of the installation.
Thanks in advance

Hi Javier,
Cooling is represented as the percentage of the available cooling capacity (kW) that is utilized by the IT equipment in the location or room.
Kind regards,
Jef

Hi Jef,
But how does it calculate the available cooling capacity? Because we have installed 320 kW of Cooling capacity, (8x40 kW inrows) and we have installed 28 kW of IT Equipment. That should be 8.75% used of the cooling capacity for 320 kW or 17.5% used for 2N cooling capacity. But in the diagram we have 22% used of IT cooling capacity
Regards

Hi Javier,
Cooling Capacity is sum of the cooling units Cooling Capacity.
tip: right click on cooling unit(s), Properties > Cooling, and look for the 'Cooling Capacity' settings
Cooling Utilization is sum of the equipment power consumption (including rack mounted assets, powered floor equipment, cooling units, etc.) divided by the Cooling Capacity. And then multiplied by 100%.
Kind regards,
Jef
