Good day,
A client has struxureware connected to their internal network and they want to give it a public IP but wants to use DCE to get the network information. What he is saying is that there is a linux command that he can use to get this information. He does not want to connect another machine to get the information but rather use DCE to get the network information.

Hi
2. Your customer have no access to cli of the server.
3. You can go to web interface -> Status . You will see IP's.
If you need more detailed info you can select "Troubleshoot Network" option from list, and then "IP information". You will see all info about NICs

Unfortunately this gives him the local Ip config settings. Not their Internet Providers IP. They are trying to get the information you get from using sites like "CMYIP.com" using DCE.

Apologies if I'm typing what you already know DCE having (outbound) internet access doesn't mean people can automatically access it from the internet (inbound). To do this typically requires a static internet NAT address on the customer's internet facing firewall/router, to be dedicated to the DCE, either by the customer / security team or ISP. This NAT address points to the DCE IP address visible in the CLI/web page. But please be aware that, as I understand it, customer is completely responsible for securing such access. In my experience, for anything other than a trivial requirement, where the publication / loss of all the DCE data would be tolerated, a purpose built security system has been deployed, e.g. VPN / tunnel. Depending on your customer's requirement, and local regulations/expectations, this may be a non trivial exercise requiring careful design and deployment.

Is the DCE user "acpsetup" still active? This showed all the IP config details
