Fail to integrate a Pelco IJP121 with DCE

I'm need integrate some Pelco IJP121 in DCE.

First i integrate in a NB570 there i shared the cameras

Second in DCE detect NB570 and the cameras as device

But when i go to the surveillance tag, no cameras can configured, so can´t assign the license, and rest of configurations

Hi Miguel,

Is the image appearing properly in the NetBotz appliance?

What firmware is on the Camera?

What version of firmware (Botzware) is on the appliance?

What version of DCE are you using?

Is this a hardware server or VM?

If VM, what licenses are on it exactly?

K-base FA167042 is something you may want to look into so as to verify the camera and NetBotz are working properly together.

Miguel,

Can you see the Pelco image properly in the NetBotz appliance?

Have you checked the k-base I suggested?

Hi Miguel,

On the Pelco camera, what compression is the Primary stream set to?

What compression is the secondary stream set to?

What are the resolutions for each?

You stated that "But when i go to the surveillance tag, no cameras can configured"

Do I understand correctly that there is no image at all in surveillance?

In the regular DCE device view, is the NetBotz appearing properly? All it's sensors? Is the camera listed there?

Is this communicating via HTTP or HTTPS all around (Pelco-bot-DCE)?

Do you have another Pelco camera? Another NetBotz camera?

Hi Miguel,

Something like that is a definite possibility but you'll have to contact tech support for that level of assistance. I'll look into this and see if I can find anything else to look for.

I don't usually like to ask for logs over the forum as they're not private but they may be necessary to troubleshoot more in-depth. Again, contacting support will allow those logs to remain private. You can get the DCE logs from http:///capturelogs .  Potentially something could be seen there.

Hi Miguel,

I can't see exactly what is causing this comm issue but I am seeing dozens of messages like this in the NBC log file:

Comm lost with bot [id = BDB0445; model = NBRK0570; type = NetBotz Rack Appliance; label = NetBotz Rack Monitor 570; host = device; mac = 00:C0:B7:DB:04:45; version = V4_6_1_20170620_1400]

A definite comm issue exists so checking firewalls would be your first thing to look into. If the VM host has a firewall, I suggest starting there.

Another log, the messages file, has thousands of communications issues with Modbus devices. This has been going on since February.

Since this is the free 5 node version and unactivated, I suggest spinning up a new VM of DCE. You're using 7.4.1 so maybe download 7.4.3 and start there too. Again, I see no specific reason in the logs for this failure but since there are so many errors on the system, perhaps that in itself is slowing the system down. Starting with a fresh system will also tell you if it is specific to this DCE install or something else like VM host, network, or NetBot issue.

On the NetBotz side of things, the only other suggestion I can make is to try and remove the appliance and re-add it using the "Post-Only Mode" feature. This tells the NetBotz device to post it's information to DCE rather than waiting for DCE to poll the appliance. This option can be found under tools-->advanced in the advanced view software.

Steve.

Miguel,

Please check one other thing. Can you check DNS settings on DCE. I forgot about this one, k-base FA158423 notes this could happen with bad or no DNS.

Hi Miguel,

Ports are the standard HTTP or HTTPS ports unless you've changed them. Did you verify the DNS as suggested?

What do you mean by:

" there are no fw in VM"?

Hi Miguel,

As noted ni the other post you put up earlier, try getting rid of the intermittent communications issues. As I noted in this post previously, I saw a fairly large number of communications issues between the appliance and DCE. To me this means there's too much traffic on the network or the NetBotz appliance is too busy.
