Hi
EcoStruxure IT Advisor.ini has been edited to allow excel import
(Hashtag removed from #-Dexcel.importer.enabled=true)
IT Advisor app has been restarted, reinstalled and ini file re edited. windows rebooted, all to no avail.
"Import" still visible in menu.
EcoStruxure IT Advisor ver 9.5.0-23505-0ec5bb0d1
Any suggestions?

If you leave it as it is (eg. not remove the hashtag)
#-Dexcel.importer.enabled=true
then the import feature (in the menu) will not be visible.
Kind regards,

Hi Jef
Made a mistake in my original request, I left out a "not"
It should have said:
IT Advisor app has been restarted, reinstalled and ini file re edited. windows rebooted, all to no avail.
"Import" still not visible in menu.
So far I have tried
editing ini file, the restart IT Advisor,
rebooted the laptop
uninstall IT advisor, edit ini file, start IT advisor
At no point was the import function visible ....
And now after 2-3 days not looking for the import function, it is visible.
Guess Good Things Come to Those Who Wait
Looking forward to trying out the function.
Kind Regards

after loading the desktop client, did you click into Planning->Data center view? If you're in the default "Operations" read only view, you will not see any import options under the file menu

If the Excel import in EcoStruxure IT Advisor isn't working, it's likely because the feature is disabled by default and requires you to edit the .ini file by removing the pound sign (#) from the Dexcel.importer.enabled line. If it's still not working after editing the file, the issue could be a data mismatch in the spreadsheet, such as incorrect column headers, formatting errors, or special characters, which can be found by reviewing the import log file generated by the software.
