Hi,
I have ten Powerlogic PM810 connected by Modbus and a module EGX100 to Powerview application.
I want to know the better way to integrate the PM810 in dce and have the same level of utility if it is possible.
I know that the EGX100 is not supported.
Could you let me know your suggestions?

I know that the EGX100 is not supported.
Why do you think so? Where is this indicated?
EGX100 device is a common Modbus TCP/IP gateway that transparently integrates with the DCE-server. Therefore, you should not have any problems in this regard.

Only give the ip and slave of PM810 and dce can locate it

Hi Jesus,
The original gateway that we supported was the TSXETG100. That is going end of life. I believe the egx 150 has been tested as well as (unofficially) the egx 300.

I understand the TSXETG100 and EGX100 are one in the same unit, the former being the APC (SEITB) part number. DCE supports/supported it/both. Whilst the unit may be going EOL, is the DCE support ceasing along with it? Given it's "just" a DDF for modbus/IP, I can't see why your PM810 meter's couldn't be monitored through the EGX100 by DCE.

If it works and was tested, that's where the "supported" description comes in. We can't un-test it so we're not going to say it is no longer supported for use with the system (DCE). We have tested the 150 and not officially tested the 300 but have seen it work similarly and with no issue. I believe I would have been remiss to leave these other devices out of the conversation especially not knowing if the customer has yet purchased the device and may want similar configurations going forward.
Then there's the question of actual tech support for the gateway if there are gateway specific issues. If there are issues with the gateway and you needed support for it, you'd still want to speak with Square-D as they are the manufacturers and technical supporters of the gateway itself. I can't say how they support end of life products but I would imagine if you just bought it, it's still supported in that manner.
