Does DCE software support Hot/Standby redundant Configuration?

The Project specification requirement calls for Hot / Standby redundant configuration (High Availability) of Central UPS monitoring software with data replication and automatic failover. Also the Central UPS monitoring software should serve data to the BMS system (Siemens).

As per the existing TVDA document (TDS-S-STRATUS-US.BU.N.EN.05.2018.1.00.CC) DCE Version 7.5.0 is supported with Stratus everrun.  

Is this High Availability solution still valid for latest version of the software? Have we tested and validated the solution?

Hi Pradeep,

There is no redundancy built into DCE at this time. You can create a redundant environment only by using 2 servers to monitor the same devices. Please not they will not share databases and will have no intercommunications between the 2 DCE servers.

Hello Steve, The Schneider Electric TVDA document clearly states that Hot/Standby redundancy can be achieved using the Status Everrun High Availability software and the same is tested, validated by Digital Energy (EcoBuilding) EcoStruxurelab. The tested version of DCE as per the document is 7.5.0

Hi Pradeep,

Can you please point me to the documentation to which you are referring? I've never heard of Stratus everrun but if this is something supported by DCE and not something another group has tested, product management may have additional documentation.
