Asking on behalf of Sean:
Is there anyway you can manipulate the columns under device view so that they are in a particular order every time you launch?
I always have to rearrange my columns. I want them to stay in the order I need.
With recent world events I've been asked to make unique columns that show in the device view such as Hazards, Hurricanes, earthquakes prone zones, if they have Generator, run time on Gen etc.
Hoping I can pick the order I want and keep it that way instead of having to drag the columns over and over to where I want them. Please advise.
Thanks

Sean,
The order of columns that you see within the client should be stored in a local configuration file on your computer. When launching to the same server, using the same client system, the columns should stay in the same place as they previously were. If you log in with a different system, the columns displayed would be specific to that local client only. These settings are not stored on the server side, just the client side.
If the settings are not saving, there is most likely an issue with permissions writing to the .isxc folder within your Users folder on your computer. (C:\Users\username\.isxc)
Try running Data Center Expert as Administrator and moving the columns. Exit the application. Run as administrator again and see if the columns remain in the same place.
Best Regards,
Cory

Hi Stine, Sean,
in the Device perspective in DCE, you can indeed drag a column to where you want it as you have noted. Once done, that column arrangement should be retained by that client on that computer. Are you saying it is changing back to default every time you launch? Are you expecting a change on your client to affect other clients? The latter does not happen by design so changes made to one user's UI doesn't affect all others.
Thanks,
Steve

HI,
I am seeing the same issue with my client, within an enterprise environment you don't get the privilege of doing anything with an admin account.
Think this is an issue that needs to be addressed by Schneider.

Richard,
Please be more specific. Sean's issue appeared to be that he either did not see a change after restarting the client or did not see the change on other clients. Unless he (or Stine on his behalf) responds, we won't know for sure.
You're saying that you "don't get the privilege of doing anything with an admin account". That is an extremely broad statement and without more detail, I can't provide guidance. Perhaps this statement / question also deserves it's own thread if it doesn't exactly match what Sean mentioned.
What exactly can you not do? What operating system are you using to run the client? Are you using the web client or the installed software client? What version DCE?
