Im trying to add the water detection device alarm to a notification policy that has already been created.
If i select the device group, i can see that under the Threshold Alarm Configuration tab that the communication status threshold has been added to the notification policy.
Under the Device alarm Configuration tab I can filter "Water" to show both Water Detection Fault and Water Detection Shut down alarms.
How do i add these alarm configurations to the policy?

Dear Andrew Stoakes,
I assume that you mean NetBotz-200 or NetBotz-250 devices (not NetBotz-4.x appliance).
In this case, you just need to make sure, that in your Notification Policy name the device you need is added, for example as in the screenshot:
If you have any further questions, please ask.
With respect.

To add to what spezialist is saying, the manually created thresholds can be added individually but device alarms can not. To get device alarms to work with a policy, the entire device needs to be added to that policy using the procedure he's noted.

Should have explained. This is with an Inrow cooler not a netbots device
We had a small leak on an InRow cooler that triggered an alarm in DCE but we had no notification.
Water detection faults are available under the Device Alarm configuration tab nut not configured in the Threshold Alarm configuration tab.
The question is, How do I make use of what appear to be pre-configured events.

Dear Andrew Stoakes,
From your comments:
We had a small leak on an InRow cooler that triggered an alarm in DCE but we had no notification.
If briefly, please show a screenshot where it is clearly visible what Severity is set for Water Detection device alarms? And besides, what Notification Policy name set for Water Detection device alarms? That is, do as I have on the screenshot:
Then go to this Notification Policy name and see what Actions are there (see my screenshot Edit Notification Policy above)?
Then mark the required Action, click Edit... button and again click Manage Actions... Select the appropriate Action, click Edit... button and make sure that necessary Severity checkbox is marked, which is set for your Water Detection device alarms:
I hope this helps you.
With respect.

communication thresholds.
Thanks fro the reply. I have been through this but don't understand how to associate the Device alarm configuration with a notification profile. Some of the Water Faults are associated with a policy but others are not and i cant work out how or why some are and some are not or how to associate them with a policy. All severity's are associated with the policy that we have configured but i am unable to add anything to the policy. If i crate a new notification policy the only thresholds i have available are the communication thresholds.

It appears to be a bug. If i remove the device that has no policy and add it back in then I can add it to the policy. Still not showing up in the threshold section.

Dear Andrew Stoakes,
From your comments:

This is as it should be. Since Threshold Alarms – are customer alarms, you have to create them yourself. The only customer alarm that is created automatically is Communication Status.

Dear Andrew Stoakes,
This of course is not a bug 😀. What version do you have DCE software?
When adding a new device to the DCE software, for its Device Alarms (not Threshold Alarms), the notification policy is not applied (No Policy).
Therefore, once you have added a new device, you must right-click on the device and select Change Device Alarms Notification... -> change from No Policy to your required policy. Only after that all Device Alarms of your new device will have the required notification policy.
Try it.
With respect.

Version is 7.5.0. My point was that for devices that already existed i could not add the policy to the device or device group. After right clicking and adding the policy it would not apply.
After I removed the device(s) and added them back i could apply the policy...So that of course is a bug.

Dear Andrew Stoakes,
From your comment:

I use exactly the same DCE software, but I do not have such problems, i.e. I can not reproduce your bug 😀.
In your case, try to reboot your DCE-server. Tell us please, what is the uptime of your DCE-server (see web-link http://_DCE_Address_/nbc/status/Status)?
Important: do you make regular backups of your DCE-server?
With respect.
