Data Center Expert - Feature Request for Server Backups
Not certain who this should go to, but wanted to throw our a potential feature request for Data Center Expert. Today, our server backups (with almost 300 nodes sending sensor data to the application) is about ~10GB. What are the thoughts or would there be an option to allow users to set backups bi-weekly or monthly? We do not need weekly backups but that is the only way to set a backup in the application. Our SAN attached disk gets full, so allowing more flexibility on backup timing would help. Additionally, would it be possible to have a function like IT Advisor where you can simply set number of backups to keep? That way that clean up process over time is automated for Data Center Expert. Open to suggestions or feedback - thank you!

Gabi,
I totally agree it *can* be done via a script but would like to see the product team natively build some flexibility in for customers so it is a more set it and forget it deal, etc. At a bare minimum, giving flexibility on when backups take place and not forcing them to be weekly would be a good start IMO.
