Hi.
I have created custom SNMP DDF for InteliLite NT AMF 25.
I have added some alarms (severity critical and notification) such as "Generator Running on Load" or "Generator is Emergency Shutdown" .
But there are also 16 Alarm texts which appears when some alarm exists, for example:
Actual alarm:
Name/OID: alarmText.1; Value (OctetString): !*Wrn Low coolant
Non Actual Alarm:
Name/OID: alarmText.1; Value (OctetString): *Wrn Low coolant
NO Alarm:
Name/OID: alarmText.1; Value (Null): null
How can I add those 16 alarms in DDF, and how DCE should detect alarm presence based text not on a integer value (1 or 0)
Thanks in advance.

Hi Ditte, Ara,
I've mentioned this post to the DDF team and I'm unsure exactly what they may want to do at this point. I never recommend creating your own DDF as I have seen issues where customer created DDF files have caused catastrophic failures in the system where it won't even boot fully. In such cases a restore and re-import of a backup prior to the addition of the DDF would be required.
The proper path for getting a DDF is to have the DDF team create it for you as described here:

If the team is willing to assist, hopefully they can do something here but it may just require following the proper procedure to get a DDF created
Steve.

I hope, because this es really urgent for me and for us.
Unfortunately there is no any integers regarding this alarms only text.

Dear Ara Orujyan,
Your question is really not simple ☹️, as the above-mentioned genset control panel by ComAp vendor has unfortunately a simplified alarm system. This circumstance does not allow simply and unambiguously to read the state of the genset alarm sensors.
I also recently encountered this problem when I connected the Green Power Systems genset with InteliLite NT AMF 25 control panel via the Modbus TCP/IP gateway to the DCE-server.
Therefore, in order to successfully solve the above problem, we had to perform an analysis of the state of the required genset sensors directly in the DDF-file and make a decision about the presence or absence of the alarm (according to the vendors IL-NT AMF20/25 unit reference guide). This complicates the DDF-file, but this is a real practical solution. And for me it works great.
For example, my DDF-file processes more than 150 numeric and status sensors:
And, importantly, it has about 120 built-in Device Alarms, which really simplify the monitoring of the operation of an important generator:
With this set of Device Alarms, I no longer need to create custom Threshold Alarms in the DCE software. It's convenient, simple and understandable 😀.
Thus, the same approach to solving a problem can be applied to a similar DDF-file but according to the SNMP protocol, that you mention.
With respect.
