DCO local user files - located where?

This question was originally posted on DCIM Support by Christian Riis on 2019-02-10

A customer is using DCO in a Citrix environment. We have a suspicion that Citrix is somehow "flushing" the local user file cache since we're experiencing these symptoms:

  1. Long load time - like when you start the application for the first time
  2. There is always a pop-up that re-directs to the support page (which is annoying, since the Citrix client does not have access to the internet)
  3. The client login screen does not save the username and the IP address, even though the checkbox "Save info" is checked.

The Citrix system administrator might be able to prevent Citrix from deleting/flushing certain files or folders, but they need specific information as to which folders to save.

Where are the local user settings stored for DCO? (Windows).

Thanks,

Christian

Hi Christian,

I think you are right, apparently client and user temp data is no being saved in that Citrix environment.

Client temp files are usually located in:

(Win) C:\Users\<user name>\.isxo\8.2.*

(additional to temp files/data downloaded from server, this folder contains also users "Save Info" settings.)

Client installation files are located in:

(Win) C:\Program Files\StruxureWare Data Center Operation 8.2.*

(the required plugins will be downloaded to this folder, when client connects to the server.)

When a desktop client user logs in for the first time, user will be directed (automatically) to the Help Center website. As mentioned that auto-direct will be for the first time log in, otherwise user can go from the desktop menu: Help > Help Center (F1)

Kind regards
