I'm facing off a challenge to monitoring 5000 nodes with DCE, but the customer doesn't want visualize in two different screens, using two DCE clients. As a bank, the customer wants to see all their equipments spread around of all financial centers in Brazil
Is it possible to use DCO to have one single view using all DCE features, specially charts and graphs?

Hi Alexander
Max nodes per a single DCE (Enterprise or properly configured VM) is 4025. So you'll need at least 2 x DCE. Caution about sizing the VMs especially with regard to polling frequency and IO performance. Your design might end up requiring more DCEs, e.g. for regionalising monitoring?
You have the option of bringing data from all DCEs into DCO (license fees and a VM) and/or StruxureWare Portal (no license fee, just a VM and OS). DCE data is also available via APIs to your custom developed application. DCE alarms can be forwarded to a central trap receiver for display and action. Performance data can be dumped, e.g. nightly for next day summarisation. Lots of options. It all depends on what the customer is trying to achieve.

Hi Ed, Thanks for your quick response. I understand, so if I use Portal, there is no additional costs, only DCE licenses fee. And all kinds of reports and dashboards will be available.

Almost Customer supplies server/VM and OS. You get only the "widgets" that ship with Portal that may or may not satisfy your needs. Based on Liferay, there may be options to develop more. Reports are a different matter. Handled by DCE, DCO, InSight or some other 3rd party reporting solution
