Does anyone know if there is a simple log file in DCO that shows all access attempts and if they are successful or not, from the Operation and Lab client, webmin and console.
This information is required for our internal auditing process.

Hi Richard,
Users logging in and logging out are recorded in audit trail, and can be generated via "Analytics Reports" -> "Audit Trail" (new feature in 7.4.5). I guess you knew that already. However the failed user(s) logging attempts might be logged in the server.log file(s).
Kind regards

Hi Jef, it would seem that the Audit Trail report is only available if you have the change module installed, which we don't. Seems a little strange given that you may want access to this report to view the system events even if your not using the change module. Richard

Hi Richard, That's correct, the Change license is required to see the Audit Trail report. I think the audit report has been basically designed for work-orders (requires the Change license). It seems we have already tracked a feature request that system related events could be available having the Operation license only. I have added you to the list of the customers asking for this feature. Kind regards

Jef, Could you add CenturyLink to the list as well... We're kicking off an audit here internally as well and would like to be able to see metrics on things like a time-stamp for last time a user logged in. We have the change module but the audit report forces you to pick a single user name.

Thanks Jef, One quick update from my end... but from what I understand the server.log file contains record of each log in and out. As a temporary workaround I'll try to parse that file to get the summary I'm after. Long term this would be nice to have as a standard report in the GUI.
