The upgrade strategy of StruxureWare Operation is to do clean install from the ISO and backup/restore DCO database.
But what about operating system (CentOS) server backup and restore?
I'm thinking of NTP, DNS, Proxy, Certificate, Mounted external NFS share and Webmin User settings.
How is it possible to save it and restore it on the new version?

Hi Mate,
Currently the supported backup option is to backup the database itself and there is no supported feature to save the OS related settings.
If you wish, I can capture a feature request for you? thanks.
Kind regards

Hello Mate. Just to clarify. Restoring a backup to a fresh installation of DCO is one method for upgrading. This method was necessary for upgrading from DCO 7.x to 8.x for example.
However, if your DCO server is already running DCO 8.x, you can upgrade that server using the upgrade process described here: Getting from previous versions to DCO 8.x. Performing a fresh install in this case is not necessary.
In this case DCO is upgraded, any relevant patches are applied to the OS, and your OS settings are saved.
