DCO License removal

How to delete some licenses from DCO especially when we run POC (Proof of concept) for some customers. Sometimes they ask for a month extension and we don't want to give extension for IT Optimize or power control but only renew Operations, change or Capacity.

Hi Shemil,

The case you are describing you should use license keys that has an expiration date.

That is the general way of handling cases where only parts of the software should be available for a given amount of time.

1)      Browse to your server’s license key page with the below command

http:///clients/handleLicense/?action=listDetailed  

EXAMPLE: http://192.168.1.100/clients/handleLicense/?action=listDetailed  

2)     Review the licenses installed. You will see something similar to what is below:

StruxureWare Operations, 10 racks license, expires 1/11/12 (6801756BD1D198CDEADEB115C2F21106149351BAB19773489F12E9F3818983DF)

3)  Remove the unwanted or expired licenses with the below command

http:///clients/handleLicense/?action=remove&key=

Example using the first Operations 10 Rack license above

http://192.168.1.100/clients/handleLicense/?action=remove&key=6801756BD1D198CDEADEB115C2F21106149351...
