Hi Chu Li,
Concerning the issue 3:
--
I would say, yes, it is expected/supported to associate the DCE monitored inrow cooling devices in DCO. The possible device messages/notifications (such as device being off-lined) can also be expected to be seen on DCO. Please note that there might be a need for updated DDF file(s) specially for the third-party devices.

Hi Chu Li
Concerning the issue 2:

The Capacity circle is daily updated.
For a fresh/instant update go to Tools -> Preferences -> Capacity History -> Record now
For more details, please visit the following page: Capacity History (KPIs) over Time

Jef Faridi I am having the same issue with correct KPI data not showing. I have tried the Record Now option but to no avail, it does state the last record date was today. After running a Capacity History report it also doesn't look like it is capturing data through there. Is there an option to force the server to record the data apart from through DCO?

Hi James, It might take a short while (10 min. or so) until the 'record now' updates the kpi's. Rebooting the server could also be an option to try out (that should start/restart the job services). By the way, is it a single node DCO or a cluster setup?

Jef Faridi Its a cluster setup. The last recorded date was today and the Capacity has been in place for a few weeks. The fact that the data isn't making it to the Capacity History report either suggests something isn't correct. Unless there is another option I might restart the server.

Hi James, When connecting the client, do you use the cluster node IP or the cluster virtual IP? I would definitely use the cluster virtual IP. By the way, if you mouse over the "Capacity Circle", do you see the correct/updated capacity overview details? (I was wondering perhaps only the graphical representation is not being 'updated'/drawing on the screen) I would also suggest to try the following: - testing from different client/workstation - clearing the client temp files - reinstalling the client software (downloaded from the server download page).

Jef Faridi Answers below; I use the cluster virtual IP. Hovering over the Capacity Circle give me the same data as the graphical representation. This is the same on other workstations/clients. I'll try re-installing the client again but this is happening on other workstations and the Capacity report section

Hi Chu Li, I would suggest to post one "issue" per Question, that would be more practical, thanks.

Hi Chu Li,
Concerning the issue 5:
--
Currently it is not supported to place the racks on top of each other - I would imagine the following work around:
a) modelling the 42U rack and the 8U rack as a single 50U rack,
b) or placing/modelling the 8U rack in front/behind of the 42U rack
I guess there might be some drawbacks (such as capacity calculations, cooling calculations, etc), so you/customer might decide what would be the best option/work around.

Hi Chu Li,
Concerning the issue 4:

I'm not sure what sort of messages can or will be shown on DCO, but as far as I know PME4DC (Power Monitoring Expert Data Center Edition) is the one that can be integrated with DCO.

Concerning issue 2, you are showing the physical overlay which will work even if the power capacity calculations are not running, and given that all your racks and (floor) PDUs has the blue indication of something is missing (or incorrect), I am pretty sure that the power capacity calculations are not running because your setup is incomplete (it is missing data in order to run).
I would suggest that you fix all the recommendations shown (e.g. make the blue recommendations indicators go away), and then check the Power overlay for capacity values on UPS, PDU, and racks.
Once this is in place you can record new KPIs (as suggested by Jef) and they should show up once the jobs are done.
