DCE v8.1.0 REST API Token Validity

Hi team, as stated in the EcoStruxure™ IT Data Center Expert REST API documentation:

...access tokens have an expiry of 5 minutes

If I generate multiple access token within 1 minute, why is the response 'expires_in' in each request, is reduce from 300 (5 minutes) ever since my first request? My understanding is, if I generate multiple tokens, I'll get multiple tokens with the same validity (300 secs).

Please advice whether the current outcome is the expected output by design. Thank you.

@ϟϟ,

The DCE REST API only allows for a single token per user account being used to generate the token. If you attempt use the same user again to obtain an access token, the same token will be returned to you as previously generated.

If multiple tokens are needed for multiple applications or security reasons, use multiple DCE user accounts for authentication.

In an upcoming release, multiple concurrent access tokens per user is planned to be supported.
