I am facing a problem on Windows 7 64 bit machine where the client application will only connect when “Use SSL to Connect” is checked or else we get the below error:

Hi Ali,
I was wondering perhaps the server access via port 80 is disabled on the server itself.
It can be verified via DCE client, System > Server Administration Settings > Server Access... :

Another option is that Firewall could be blocking connection on port 80.
