Hello Team,
I have been trying to make a restore to my DCE virtual machine but it fails. The windows backup share folder setting was checked and DCE has access to this folder and “Test mount” is successfully. after select the backup file and begin the restore process it fails. The error message is: “STATUS_FS_DRIVER_REQUIRED”. Searching in the web, this error is related to A volume has been accessed for which a file system driver is required that has not yet been loaded.
I check that all the networks ports are opened. Also, my customer checks the firewall and restriction. The DCE and backup windows server are in the same domain and VLAN. The windows server that we are using for share mount is Windows server 2008. The backup file was done many times just to be sure that it is ok.
I request your help to resolve this issue because the DCE is down and I must to restore asap. Is it a network issue? Is it a Windows server issue? Is it a share mount issue?
I appreciate any suggestion or advice to fix this issue.

Hi Luis,
Good day!
Can I ask what version of DCE is used by the customer? By experience, the DCE can let you "test mount" successfully but will not let you authenticate when attempting a backup if it is using an unsupported security protocol (check the NTLM version that you have set).
I know you may have done a similar setup in the past, but it is always good to check the basics. The video from the article below should help you get a good start:

Should you need further help regarding this, it is best to provide the details below so we can investigate deeper on its cause:
•DCE Version:
•Screenshots of the pages shown in the article above:
-Windows Folder Permissions
-System > Server Administration Settings > Server Backup and Restore > Add Backup page on the DCE client.
I hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Justine Chester
