Hi All,
Is it possible to configure DCE to download firmware updates directly from APC via an internal proxy server?
Thanks,
Scott

Hi Scott,
Yes, you can configure a proxy server on the Desktop Client by going to System > Server Administration Settings > Server Proxy Settings.

Hi Scott,
Alternatively, you can manually download the device firmware catalog from www.apc.com/tools/support (search for DCE software updates) and upload it to the DCE server.

Hi John,
Thanks for your reply, you wouldn't happen to know what the IP details are for the APC FTP server do you?

Hi scott.sexton,
Thanks for your reply, you wouldn't happen to know what the IP details are for the APC FTP server do you?
It is recommended that you specify this resource for downloading firmware updates using the DCE-server:
You can of course specify an IP-address 159.215.32.51, but this is not recommended for obvious reasons.
With respect.

Would it be possible to move the DCE Firmware Download to this forum?
Why does it have to be on another website for those of us who have to manually download the pack when we need it.
Regards,
J

Dear John Smith,
Ok, you can download manually, for example, from special web-page: DCE device firmware catalog.
Hope this helps you.
With respect.
