DCE - DDF supplemental fields

Hi all,

I kindly ask for your help in the following.

I have a modbus Liebert Trinergy cude UPS that I want to create a DDF file to pass some information over DCE to ITA.

My initial trials were successful and I managed to import the custom DDF and read sensor values in DCE.

However, as I understand this is not enough for integrating the UPS with ITA. In order to do so, I need to follow these guides:

https://helpcenter.ecostruxureit.com/hc/en-us/articles/360006754317

https://helpcenter.ecostruxureit.com/hc/en-us/articles/360006791257-Debugging-issues-with-DCE-DDF-fi...

The issue that I am having, is that there is no reference for InputPhaseCount/OutputPhaseCount/BankCount in my DDF file and I do not know how to add them either. I understand that I will need to set the correct sensor types but I really do not understand where to set the above variables. As a result, when using the SoapIU i get <ns2:supplemental xsi:nil="true"/> and the UPS has no sensors in ITA.

Any help or a sample DDF with the above variables configured will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Petros

Hi Petros,

Existing DDFs for DCE can be found here:

https://ddf.ecostruxureit.com/

just un case if there should be a useful ddf for your device there. If not, there is an option to submit a DDF request

https://helpcenter.ecostruxureit.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000111657

Kind regards,

Jef

Hi Jef,

Thank you for your reply. The issue we are having is not related directly to the DDF files. It is related of how does IT Advisor understand sensor measurements from DCE. What sensor type, device type, should we use in DCE in order to get the correct measurements in IT Advisor in power panels etc. In reality, we do have some values from DCE to IT Advisor but they are received as unknown type and are not present as sensor data in external device properties under the panels. To do so, my understanding is that we need to specify something in the DDF files, such as the sensor type. But this is not clear from the instructions and there is no sample DDF file that we can use.

Regards,

Petros
