Hi mamacoo,

After DCE-server rebooting, you can login to the DCE Web-console?

How long have you been interested in the size of the available disk space on the DCE-server?

If this is DCE VM appliance, try adding one more virtual HDD of the size, for example, 50GB. Power off and power on the DCE VM appliance after that: if the server software is OK, then the newly added amount of free space will be added to the /data logical volume and the server software should start normally.

I am always glad to help.

You need to adjust the available harddisk space on the virtual machine in order to make more space available.

Attention: do not increase the size of an existing virtual HDD. This will not help you. It is necessary to add one more separate virtual HDD and restart the DCE-server. This rule applies to both the DCE VM appliance and the DCE hardware appliance. Look carefully at this topic: .

 With best regards.

mamacoo,

See my answer below:

  1. power off the VMware DCE VM;
  2. add second vHDD appropriate size to the DCE VM configuration;
  3. power on the VMware DCE VM;
  4. login to the DCE-client and check available local storage size.

I am always glad to help.

Hi mamacoo,

By adding the second vhdd, you thereby expand the automatically /data partition.

 But simply extend an existing /data partition without adding a second vhdd is no longer so easy, since you either need the root password, or mount the DCE-server partitions offline with a Linux LiveCD 😀.

With best regadrs.
