There is issue with ISX Central AP9475 running with OS with DCE 5.0.1. When I try to log on it is showing '' The infrastruxure central server is currently starting up. Please wait a few seconds and try again.
Could any one share new OS i.e. 7.3.1 or less.

Hi Mukhtar,
To obtain links for StruxureWare Data Center Expert, you need to contact technical support directly. Please also note that if you do not have current support contracts on your server, tech support can not provide these links. If you have the DVD or USB key from the original install, I suggest using that unless you have current support contracts.
Thanks,
Steve

Thank you Steve. Could you please help me following answers? That will be helpful for me and enhance the knowledge of DCE. 1.Can we take backup form this server? 2. If we upload new OS on this server then is previous data will be flashed? 3. If one hard drive i.e. 1 LED;s blinking orange and green is it normal? However all five hard drives are showing and blinking green LED's only. Thanks Mukhtar

Hi Mukhtar, 1: If you can't access the system through the ISXC client, you can not create a backup. If you can access it, there are options for backups to NFS and Windows shares. 2: Yes, If you restore the server, all data will be lost. A restore will format the drive(s) 3: I am assuming you've got an older Dell 2850 model Enterprise server judging by the age of the ISXC installed and the fact that you have multiple drives. It could also be a 2950 but the Dell Service Tag can help with the server's identification. The codes for the 2850 can be found here: http://www.craigharris.org/server/Dell_2850_Installation_and_Troubleshooting_Guide/t1393c20.htm Drive specific fault codes, here: http://www.craigharris.org/server/Dell_2850_Installation_and_Troubleshooting_Guide/t1393c20.htm#wp11... It sounds like a predicted failure. If you have 5 drives in the server, you should be able to remove one and the system should still operate normally. I do not suggest trying to remove more than one. This could be a drive failure or it could also be that a drive failure is causing data corruption. If you turn off the server, remove the drive, and reboot it and it still does not come back up, there is a good possibility there is an issue with the data. Steve

Want little more information 1. This DCE have 50 additional device node key and 15 surveillance key. If we upgrade DCE version then licence will be at default 25 node? 2. If we purchase 25 node device license key (AP9525) and surveillance key (NBSV1010) then is it limited for any model or add these key in any model like AP9465,AP9470 and AP9475 etc.

Hi Mukhtar, If you upgrade the current server, you'd need to upgrade multiple times as you can not go directly to 7.3.1 from 5.x. In this case, you would have the default 25 nodes and would retain your licenses. If you were to restore the same server, you would get the default 25 nodes and you would need to reinstall the license key as a restore wipes out all configuration. If by upgrade you mean get a new server, the new server will have the 25 nodes and the license key can not be installed on this server. The license key is tied to a mac address. If the old server is dead or being decommissioned, we can remove it from your account and reset the passcode so you can register the new server and associate the passcode with that new server to create a new license key.
