HI
When I first discover this UPS (SNMP device)I have all the sensor values. See below image
After a few minutes. I assume after it is polled again they show as unplugged. see below.
Any explanation for this ?
I am assuming the poll is being rejected by the UPS somehow? If I delete this device in DCE and rediscover it nothing is discovered. I have to stop/start SNMP on the UPS and reboot the NMC (RMCARD202). It can now be discovered again in DCE.
I am using CyberPower DDF file and other CyberPower UPS are ok.
I was suspecting faulty card however. I have tested using a CyberPower motioning software using the same snmp protocol and keys without issue to see if it can be discovered it works fine and sensors have values all the time (Though u would expect there tool to be compatible)
I can SNMPwalk to it as well via DCE and tools ok.
Any suggestions?
cheers
Bruce

No not yet. have just had a DDF created specific to this UPS so I will load that into DCE and rediscover device . Will try today and see how we go

There was no change. I installed new DDF in to DCE. Then rebooted card, stopped and started snmp on card. Rediscovered the device in DCE however sensors are still showing unplugged.

Dear Bruce Phillips,
That is, you wanted to say: first, your UPS is normally discovered in DCE software with all its sensors. And then after ~5 minutes, all your UPS sensors in DCE software go into Unplugged state. It's right?
What is the name of the DDF-file you use and what is its version?
With respect.

Hi there
Yes that is correct.
DDF is cyberpower.xml Version 3
Other CyberPower devices are fine in DCE. Just this one.
I am suspecting it must be faulty card.
cheers

Dear Bruce Phillips,
From your comments:
Other CyberPower devices are fine in DCE. Just this one.
I am suspecting it must be faulty card.
If all your UPS's you specified are the same series (the same model), and only with one you have such strange problems, then the problem is not in the DCE-server. It is very likely, that the problem is either in the NMC of this UPS, or on the network. In this case, of course, you better first ask the help of the vendor of this UPS.
Hope this helps you.
With respect.
