I attempted to create a threshold for battery status via the youtube video called Creating and Managing Thresholds, but when try and select it there is nothing in the field for me to select. So what am I doing wrong?

It looks like I need another piece of software/Hardware called the gateway in order to receive the critical alarms like the unit as lost connectivity or the battery has exhausted its supply is that true. I am only using StruxureWare Data Center at this time.

Indeed these instructions are valid for our cloud-based offer IT Expert, not DCE.
You will find support for Data Center Expert in the Struxure Ware Help Center:
