In one of our projects, we have schneider PM870 and PM820 power meters in Distribution boards with modbus rs845 interface.
We have considered TSXETG100 modbus ethernet gateways, but my question is the following:
1) Please share practical experience on site when someone deployed it and if they faced timeouts or its working fine.
2) Which brand cable and model we will use for the RS485 serial looping that is tested and working fine in other sites.

I recall the EGX100 has been replaced with a better offer but the TSXETG100 may still be available to you. They've been used dozens of times and you should have high confidence it will work as advertised. Cable spec is in the doc for the gateway which you can download from somewhere if you don't yet have a unit. Choose POE or externally power TSXETG100
Cheers
