Configuring BotzWare 4.6.1 to email to Office365

Hi all. I am trying to get a NetBotz 570 to email out to Office365. I read Microsoft's website, they say point the email to smtp.office365.com on port 587 and enable TLS. Botzware version is 4.6.1 has a bunch of SSL options but no TLS. I'm stuck.

Dear Jon Vandenberg,

Very possibly, you will be helped by the web-link https://support.office.com/en-ie/article/How-to-set-up-a-multifunction-device-or-application-to-send..., which was published in post DCE Support for Office365 email . The post is addressed to DCE software, but it will probably be useful for configuring NetBotz-4.x appliances.

In addition, I highly recommend that you update the firmware of your NetBotz-4.x appliance to the latest version 4.6.2 of December 2017.

I hope this helps you.

With respect.

Hi, I can't find where on the APC website to download 4.6.2. Under the NBRK0570 for software and firmware it only goes up to 4.6.1. There are release notes for 4.6.2 but no download.

Also the SMTP settings that I am having trouble with come from the web link you provided. For Office365;

Server/smart host

smtp.office365.com

Port

Port 587 (recommended) or port 25

TLS/ StartTLS

Enabled

The problem is the NetBotz 570 (4.6.1) doesn't appear to support TLS, it only supports SSL.

Dear Jon Vandenberg,

The latest NetBotz-4.x firmware can be found here on EcoStruxure IT on page User Assistance for NetBotz v4.x under Downloads and documentation.

...The problem is the NetBotz 570 (4.6.1) doesn't appear to support TLS, it only supports SSL.

That's why I doubt if the above link from the Microsoft website will help you... Here, for example, a screenshot of my NetBotz-450 with the latest firmware v4.6.2:

As can be clearly seen - there is no mention of TLS encryption ☹️.

If you have any further questions, please ask.

With respect.

Hi Jon,

TLS is enabled in the SSL functionality of the NetBotz e-mail routine. There is no specific setting that can be enabled or disabled for this.
