Hi
I have been using DCE since December 2014 and we are currently on version 7.5.0.62. It has only been within the last 6 months that I have had DCE emailing out ‘errors’. It is only with these emails that I have seen that DCE ‘loses’ Communication with some but not all the PDU’s that DCE monitors up to 15 times a day. The PDU’s that are a problem are a mix of AP8853 (S/W V6.5.6) and DELL8609 (S/W V5.1.2). My other monitored PDU’s that do not ‘error’ are a mix of AP8853’s, AP8858’s and DELL8609’s which are also on the main site and other sites. Looking at the main DCE log it looks like the problem first started in February 2015, since then we have changed our network from Nortel to Cisco and changed all the IP’s of the PDU’s. I have made changes to ‘Device Scan Settings’, Timeout from 2 Seconds to 4 Seconds and the Retries from 3 to 5. This has made no improvement in ‘Error’ rate.
Regards
Mark

Hi
I have not solved my problem, but I did help by reducing the number of fails.
I did have 10 to 15 fails a day, now after the system has 'settled' I am get less then 5 fail a week.
